Application Procedures for Glue-Down Carpet & Roll Goods

Use the 8003 Tip for carpet installations. Too much glue will slow dry time, too little glue can lead to bond failure.

Attach hose and gun wand assembly to the adhesive canister making sure it is secured tight with a wrench. Slowly open the valve on the canister making sure there are no leaks. Spray a small test amount of adhesive into a box or garbage receptacle to make sure all PT Cleaner fluid is purged and that the gun is spraying adhesive normally.

Use a heavy roller on the carpet to insure transfer of wet adhesive into the carpet backing. Allow the adhesive to “tack up” for 10 to 20 minutes, then re-roll to remove bubbles and creases.
